Welcome to Candy Town, where everything is sweet, but running a town takes some serious thinking!

Across this two-day immersive Learning Lab, learners will become the citizens and decision-makers of their very own candy-inspired community. They’ll tackle questions of leadership, laws, fairness, evidence, and civic responsibility as they help shape how Candy Town should be governed.

From campaigning and making informed choices to creating laws and stepping into the courtroom for a candy-themed trial, learners won’t just learn about civics they’ll experience what happens when people have different perspectives, decisions have consequences, and a community has to figure out how to work together.

Expect plenty of critical thinking, persuasive communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and, of course, candy-fueled whimsy along the way.

ABOUT LEARNING LABS

Learning Labs are the signature Wit & Whimsy experience: immersive, hands-on learning adventures where learners don’t simply study a topic, they step inside it.

Academic concepts and real-world skills are woven into imaginative themes, challenges, investigations, creative projects, and collaborative experiences designed to get learners thinking, questioning, creating, and doing.

Our intentionally small groups allow us to create opportunities for different levels of challenge, meaningful participation, and learner choice while giving each child space to contribute and engage in ways that build confidence and curiosity.
